What Might This Song Do to the Listener?

Planet Worth installs in you a sense that the Earth is a shared trust the whole species holds together, that its ruin is everyone's doing and everyone's to repair, and that borders and tribes are smaller than the single human family. It hands you a stance of urgent responsibility and a belief that solutions exist if people unite and refuse to quit.

You feel pulled out of your own small frame and into a collective body that shares one sky. The call to forgive, to keep going, to act now rather than later, lifts the feeling outward and upward, so it grows into resolve rather than dread. You leave readier to belong to something larger than yourself.

What Might This Song Do to a Society?

At scale, Planet Worth installs in a population the conviction that the planet is a common inheritance every person is responsible for, that ecological ruin is a shared emergency, and that the human race is one body whose borders and cultural divisions matter less than its survival together. A culture running this program treats unity, forgiveness, and collective action as the default response to a threat everyone holds in common.

The symptoms are a people who locate themselves inside a single shared sky, who frame responsibility as collective rather than someone else's, and who keep choosing perseverance over surrender. They speak of saving the world in the first person plural and carry an expectation that acting together, now, is simply what is owed.

Audience Vibe

The compass reads the lyrics. The Audience Vibe reads the people — the general place the audience thinks the compass should be pointing for this song, not a raw tally of votes. Two needles, one song; the gap between them is the data.

Do you think it should stay where it is, or be pushed further in one direction?

One vote per person per song per year. No single vote can move the needle far — it takes a crowd.

How the Audience Vibe is calculated

The needle is the compass score nudged by the crowd — never a raw tally. Every "push higher," "push lower," and "agree" vote is recombined into one position each time someone votes:

  • Direction comes from the split. Only the gap between higher and lower votes moves the needle. "Agree" votes pull it back toward the compass score.
  • It takes a crowd. Early votes move it gently — a handful shifts it only a point or two. The more lopsided the crowd, the further it goes.
  • It's capped. The audience can pull a song at most 15 points off the compass score, either direction. No pile-on can push it past that.

So a single "push lower" on a song with few votes moves the needle a little (often a point or two), not all the way down — and it can never run away.
